Auto vehicle sales for September-2021 reached 22,235 units, marking a rise of 59% compared to September-2020. However on monthly basis sales recorded only 2% increase over August-2021. Below is the Top Ten Best Selling Cars in Pakistan for the month of September’2021.
Pak Suzuki Motors led the monthly sales with 72% Y-o-Y growth, followed by Indus Motors at 44% and Honda Atlas Cars at 34%. On a monthly basis, Honda and Toyota posted growth of 12% and 13%, respectively, while Pak Suzuki marked a 7% decline in sales volume.
Keeping in view the current trend, Car manufacturers are expected to achieve annual sales volume of ~276,000 units in 2021.
Car manufacturers operated at higher capacities in order to meet the demand. Honda Atlas is operating at 84% capacity utilization, Pak Suzuki at 92%, whereas Indus Motors is stretching its plant to 120% utilization.
Pak Suzuki volumetric sales reached 11,188 units during the month. This growth is attributed to strengthening of economic cycle and sales tax reduction in Budget FY2022.
This growth was attributed to Alto/Cultus/WagonR/Bolan/Ravi which increased by 46/289/45/43/65% YoY at 4,540/3,056/1,678/894/933 units sales for Sept’2021.
Indus Motors was able to post an increase of 44% YoY by selling 6,292 units in Sept’2021. This growth was attributed to Corolla/Yaris whic
Yaris remained market favorite sedan as it sold 2,515 units during the month. However the novelty factor seems to be dissipating considering new entrants which has started to acquire the market share.
Honda Atlas Cars was able to sell 3,635 units in September’2021 (↑34% YoY). Honda sales for Civic/City increased by 47% YoY, however growth was restricted by BR-V sales decreasing by 36% YoY to 268 units. The increase in Honda sales were accredited to high auto financing and corporate Sales.
