PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja in a press statement has stated that issues between PCBs and franchises have been resolved and this is a huge step forward in building stronger relationships with our franchisees as we look forward to working with them to take HBL PSL to unprecedented heights.
He further said that; “PSL is very close to our hearts. Since 2016, we have all worked hard to make it what it is today. The acceptance of the PCB proposal is a testament to our commitment and determination to make HBL PSL a bigger and better league with the best players in the world. ” The elite companies are commercially supportive and enthusiastic, cricket fans watch it live in Pakistan and around the world.
PCB has agreed to distribute 95% of PSL’s total revenue to the franchises, up from the current 80%.
The franchise also promised that they would pay all pending dues from the previous and next PSL edition.
The PCB also extended its teams’ franchise rights till the 20th edition of the league and up from 10th place.
PCB also agreed to compensate the franchisee for losses incurred as a result of the transfer of the last two leagues due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
