The Pakistan International Airline has announced the opening of direct Karachi-Skardu-Karachi flights to facilitate tourists and residents of the northern regions from 16th May 2021.
A PIA spokesperson said the Airbus A320 will depart Karachi after ensuring that weather conditions and normal flight are clear. Another flight will operate on a new route from 18th May 2021.
As per sources in PIA, the minimum fare on this route will initially be 14,000 rupees, and the flight time from Karachi to Skardu will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
According to sources, PIA will also launch its first direct flight between Lahore and Gilgit on the same day.
