Ashraf Khan, Managing Director of State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation, has said the government has decided to provide up to 60 per cent of government support in the SME loans to reduce risk and speed up bank loan repayments.
He said “Mera Pakistan, Mera Ghar” Loan scheme has only five to seven percent interest rate. To date, more than Rs 30 billion in loans have been disbursed under the scheme.
Together with the bank officials, the program progress is monitored on a monthly basis. He said that An awareness seminar should be held to apprise the public about the scheme. In this context, Khwaja Shafiq Patafi, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry DG Khan, President of Khanewal Chamber Tayab Sajid , Zafar Iqbal Siddiqui, President of the Chamber of Small Traders Sheikh Faisal, Mango Growers Association President Zahid Gardizi also talked with the participants at the end of the Celebration.
