Telenor Pakistan reported muted revenue growth of 2% in first Quarter of 2021 where total Revenue stood at PKR 26.1 billion.
As per the management, revenue was impacted by the onslaught of the COVID-19 situation which impacted the telecom operations in the country. However, to counter the decline in call service, Telenor Pakistan increased its data products with proven and high demand to deter the impacts.
Telenor Pakistan also conducted spectrum refarming which led to higher data services during the reported period.
Operational metrices suggest that Telenor Pakistan couldn’t increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) as it declined by 2 percent to PKR 174 per user per month.
Telenor Pakistan posted strong EBITDA of PKR 13.6 billion while it invested PKR 5.25 billion as Capital Expenditure primarily in Data Segment.
