Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that Pakistan is in dire need to adopt tough fiscal and Monetary Measures. He said in series of Tweets that the talks with the IMF were positive.
He clarified that IMF has called for an end to fuel and electricity subsidies approved by the previous government. The Finance Minister said that a tough monetary policy needs to be adopted to curb rising inflation, depletion of foreign exchange reserves and current account deficit. Determined to lead the way
