Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the inclusion of Qatari Sea King helicopters in the Pakistan Navy, which was given green light by President Dr. Arif Alvi in accordance with Article 243 of the Constitution.

Qatar Helicopters Add to Pakistan Navy’s Airborne Fleet. 10 Sea King helicopters were donated to the Qatari Air Force to the Pakistan Navy.

Sea King helicopters manufactured by the British company Westland Helicopters weigh more than 6,000 kilograms and reach a speed of 208 kilometers per hour.

President Dr Arif Alvi was the chief guest on the occasion of induction, while Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi received him.

President Alvi congratulated the PN on the induction of helicopters in the PN fleet. He expressed confidence over PNs capable fleet for promoting peace and stability in the region while guarding national maritime frontiers.
